Classes Offered
Natural family planning (NFP) and fertility awareness classes are offered to young women and couples, including all from beginners in fertility awareness to those using NFP that need a refresher class for a new phase of life.
Fertility Awareness 5-Week Course (Group)
Young women enrolled in the 5-week course will not only learn to understand their body signs, but we will dive deep into the science and research of the beauty of hormones while also learning about long-term benefits from expert guest speakers. The rules for achieving or avoiding pregnancy are not covered in this course.
Fertility Awareness 1-day Course + App (Single)
This course includes a 1-hour crash course for young women interested in learning how to chart their fertility, paper charts, one year of the NFP Charting App for free, and 2 follow up sessions. The rules for achieving or avoiding pregnancy are not covered in this course.
NFP for Engaged and Married Couples
For engaged couples interested in marriage prep class, this is an approved class for the Diocese of Lafayette. For couples new to NFP or trained in another method of NFP, this is the class for you! The class includes 2 sessions of instruction and 1-3 follow-ups as needed. Generally, each session is spaced 2 weeks after the previous. Also included are The Billings Method book, paper charts, and one year free of the NFP Charting App.
NFP Refresher Course
For couples that have already learned NFP using the Billings Ovulation Method, this is a refresher course similar to a follow up and is most useful during a new phase of life, whether that be to achieve or avoid pregnancy. For couples that have learned another method of NFP, please sign up for the full NFP course.
